REASON FOR THIS ACTION In all of the affected vehicles, the Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label is missing the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and EGR Cooler (EGRC) components from the engine content description. SERVICE ACTION Before delivering any of the vehicles involved in this program, dealers are to install a new revised VECI label directly over the existing label on affected vehicle inventory. Dealers are also to install the VECI labels on sold vehicles when requested by a customer. • Labels will be mailed directly to owners. Please remind the customer to bring the label when they schedule an appointment. • Labels for dealership stock units will begin mailing on February 13, 2023. NOTE: The owner letter will include instructions on how to install the new VECI label. This service will be performed on affected vehicles at no charge to the vehicle owner. OWNER NOTIFICATION MAILING SCHEDULE Owners of affected vehicles will be mailed the VECI label and installation instructions the week of February 13, 2023.
