Technicall Description:

Any of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) will be set:
P0300/ P0316/ P1315/ P3498-71/ P3499-71/ P349A-71/ P349B-71

Use TOPIx Workshop manual and follow DTC help text.
If the diagnostic process identifies that the Continuous Variable Valve Lift
(CVVL) assembly requires replacement and during removal of the component it
is noticed that the engine oil appears to be of a sludge type appearance, please
take a sample of oil in a (100 ml) bottle.
Raise a Technical Assistance (T.A) quoting reference ‘PTS-100 Powertrain’
If no sludge is found, please proceed with repairs as normal.
