Workshop findings: • Key adaptation fails with error messages “FAZ1552E Key status not valid” and “FAZ1540E Action not successful” when performing the vehicle immobilizer adaptation test plan in Guided Fault Finding. Technical Background During key adaptation, the vehicle is unable to maintain a reliable connection between the key and the reader coil. Technical Service Bulletin • Prior to adapting the vehicle keys, remove the fuse number SD5 and SD7 supplying KL15 power and KL30 power to the Electric Drive Control Module J1234 (Diagnostic Address: 0051) (Figures 1 & 2).
