Message in instrument cluster: “Drive system: fault” or “Electrical system: fault”.
• The vehicle can no longer be started or the drive system cannot be activated.
Workshop findings:
One or more of the following DTC’s are stored in the electric drive control module J841 (diagnostic address 0051
(intermittent or static):
• DTC P0A5D00: Drive Motor 'A' Phase U Current.
• DTC P0A6000: Drive Motor 'A' Phase V Current.
• DTC P0A6300: Drive Motor 'A' Phase W Current.
Technical Background
Variances in the welding process of the high-voltage wiring may lead to a malfunction of the cable.

After the high voltage system has been
de-energized, check the resistance of
the internal conductors of each phase
between JX1 and V141 (Figure 1)
using a DVOM or similar.
• Extra attention should be placed on
the phase specified by the DTC(s).
• Carefully inspect the connections
and routing at each end BEFORE
disconnecting the connections.
While testing the cables, it is necessary
to wiggle test, pull/manipulate the cable
and/or connector ends.

While testing, also wiggle test the
connector on the power electronics
side during measurement (yellow
arrow, Figure 2).
If the resistance increases and
changes, replace the high-voltage
wiring harness.

If the resistance does not change but you can rule out all other possible causes of the fault, replace the
high-voltage wiring harness for drive motor.
