DESCRIPTION:
Left Rear door outer window seal may be loose or become loose. In some case other doors may have a
loose seal also.
SERVICE:
If window moulding is found loose, add a piece of tape on moulding edge as shown in the attachment
using (US Wurth PN. 1894912), (Canada Wurth PN. 894.910).
Note: The moulding does not need to be replaced.

Yes, please submit a Vehicle Report if the service solution described in this TJ has no effect. Use
concern area “Vehicle Report” and sub concern area “ Support Needed”, use function group 8451.

Loose OWS Rework
1. Identify car needing repair (loose OWS).
ISSUE DATE
2. Unseat OWS enough to apply tape.
TO CHANGE THIS, USE “INSERT” RIBBON AND “HEADER/FOOTER” BUTTON. REMEMBER TITLE, ISSUER ( NAME & CDS-ID), ISSUE AND SECURITYCLASS.

3. Obtain 15-25 mm piece of tape (3/41 inch).
ISSUE DATE
4. Apply tape to flange where door
begins to bend upward.

the tape is not applied
to the bend at the
bottom of the flange, or
the tape will be visible
after the OWS is
seated.

5. Fold tape around flange.

6. Reseat OWS. Use fingers to get to the
initial position, and finish with a mallet.

7. Ensure the entire OWS is
seated and that the tape is not
showing anywhere.
NOTE: This step is extremely
critical to quality, as this is a very
visible area to our customers.
