SERVICE INFORMATION APPLICABILITY: 2005-13MY Legacy and Outback Models with 5AT 2006-13MY Tribeca NUMBER: 16-91-14 DATE: 01/29/14 SUBJECT: Correction to Diagnostics for 5AT-Related DTCs: P0743, 748, 753, 758, 763, 768 and 773 INTRODUCTION This Service Information describes 2 corrections to the Service Manual diagnostic procedures for the DTCs listed above. The information is only applicable to vehicles equipped with 5AT transmissions and relates to diagnostics for the lock-up solenoid and shift solenoid circuits. All the affected Service Manuals will be revised accordingly in the near future. SERVICE INFORMATION Correction 1: Applicable to: 2005-13MY Legacy / Outback w/5AT and 2006-13MY Tribeca Incorrect (current) diagnostic step: The connector number described above (T11) is the vehicle harness connector between the transmission control module and control valve body as shown in the schematic shown on pg. 2). The check is to measure the resistance between transmission ground and control valve body connector (T21), pin 5. Connector T11 should be labeled T21 (valve body harness connector). Corrected step should read: The result of this check provides the resistance value for the lock-up solenoid.
