RCA-78-23-004-1: Replace Door Mid Woofer Speakers
and Fasteners
Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that were equipped
with door mid woofer fasteners that could be prone to corrosion. Over time, the speakers could become
inadequately secured to the doors, leading to poor audio quality, noise, and water intrusion. Rivian will replace
the fasteners and speakers on the affected vehicles. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction
and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

Procedure
1. On both sides: Remove: Speaker, Mid Woofer, Front Door, LH (refer to service manual procedure
784630010).
2. On both sides: Remove: Speaker, Mid Woofer, Rear Door, LH (refer to service manual procedure
784632010).
3. In 4 locations:

4. On both sides: Replace: Speaker, Mid Woofer, Front Door, LH (refer to service manual procedure
784630010). Use new fasteners.
5. On both sides: Replace: Speaker, Mid Woofer, Rear Door, LH (refer to service manual procedure
784632010). Use new fasteners.
6. Reinstall all components that were removed for access and replace all non-reusable components. Refer
to the service manual procedures referenced in this document for additional component reusability
information and torque specifications.
