After the next ignition cycle, the ambient lighting functions again correctly.

Cause
Software in coupling elements (EKE) faulty. The coupling element software cannot be updated in After-Sales.
Remedy
In a complaint case, replace the respective wiring harness (coupling elements are installed on the wiring harness) for
ambient lighting.
