5/30/23, 8:27 AM 2022 F-150/Lobo TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN Vehicle Range Reading Low After Charging To 80% Or Higher Using A Level 1 Or Level 2 AC Charger 23-2125 26 May 2023 Model: Ford 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning Platinum trim level Issue: Some 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning vehicles with the Platinum trim level may exhibit a lower than expected vehicle range reading in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) after charging to 80% or higher using a level 1 or level 2 alternating current (AC) charger. This may be due to software in the secondary on board diagnostic module C (SOBDMC). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram various modules starting with the (SOBDMC). Action: Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria: • 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning with Platinum trim • Vehicle range reading low after charging to 80% or higher using a level 1 or level 2 AC charger Warranty Status: Eligible under provisions of New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW)/Service Part Warranty (SPW)/Special Service Part (SSP)/Extended Service Plan (ESP) coverage. Limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. NVLW/SPW/SSP/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool. Depending on vehicle features, the coordinated software update includes the powertrain control module (PCM), SOBDMC, antilock brake system (ABS) module and/or battery energy control module (BECM). 1. Reprogram the SOBDMC using the latest software level with the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool.
