Squeaking noises are heard from the foot well area when steering.
Workshop findings:
The customer statement can be reproduced.
The noise is caused by the intermediate steering shaft.
Technical Background
Rubber ring on the intermediate steering shaft rubs against the sealing boot.

Proceed as described below:
Remove the intermediate steering shaft and place it on the workbench (Figure 1).

Then use a knife to cut off the rubber ring on the intermediate steering shaft on the sleeve side at a 45° angle
(Figure 2).

Note: Please do not slide the rubber ring on the shaft. The sealing boot may be moved on the shaft.
