Due to mis-diagnosis of clutch systems, and to prevent incorrect parts replacement, diagnostic procedure
implemented into guided fault finding (GFF).

Tip:
The following procedure applies only to vehicles with manual gearbox.
Repair work on the clutch system following hydraulic complaints must be diagnosed and repaired via guided fault
finding.
Note:
VAS PC: VAS 5051B, VAS 5052A, VAS 6150/X & VAS 6160/X with: ODIS Service 2.0.0 or higher with current
online updates must be used.
The diagnostic protocol procedure can be found under:
Test Plan > Select Self Test… > Drivetrain type > (Engine) > 01 – Systems capable of self-diagnosis > *(ENGINE)
> 01 – Technical product information > Check Clutch Activation (TPI 2029352).
Note:
When performing the test plan above, disregard the TPI number (2029352) mentioned for Check Clutch
Activation. TPI number 2029352 is for German reference only and does not match this technical bulletin TPI
number of 2031366.
