• Exhaust warning light is ON.
AND/OR
• A whistling noise can occasionally be heard from the engine compartment.
Workshop findings:
The following DTCs may be stored in the engine control module ECM, J623 (address word 0001):
• DTC P227900 Intake Air System (Bank 1).
DTCs connected to misfires may be present on bank 2.

Improved crankcase full load breather line for bank 1 have been implemented in production between the end of
Q2 2021 and the start of Q4 2021, depending on engine version. See table below:

In this case, replace the full load breather line for cylinder bank 1.
1. Do not replace the oil separator for bank 1 or bank 2 or the part load breather lines.
2. Please refer to image of the crankcase breather from the Self Study Program 920493 as a guide.
