Tech Tips 44-14-01 TPMS Basic Settings Model(s) Year Eng.Code Trans.Code Golf 2010 All All The 2010 Golf may lose basic settings for TPMS coding or pressure setting. The TPMS light comes on blinking for 60 seconds and stays on solid to indicate a system malfunction. Fault 01325 or 01521 may be stored. This happens on cars that have the BCM with integrated TPMS module. Recommend checking BCM AW 09 software level (not TPMS). If the BCM software is lower than 0576, update using SVM code 33BC. After completing the software update (or if update is not required), make sure the coding of the TPMS module AW 65 is 01 87 04 and specified pressure shown in MVB 23 is the placard pressure in bar. If values in MVB 23 are 5.5, change adaptation values 5, 6, 7, and 8 to the correct sticker pressure in bar. Before changing adaptation values, access/authorization code 1503 must be entered. After saving the values in adaptation, double check TPMS MVB 23 values are all the same. 91-14-02 MDI Functions with iPhone 5 Variants (5, 5c, 5s and iPad fourth generation, iPod Nano seventh generation) Model(s) Year Eng.Code Trans.Code CC, Eos, Golf, GTI, Jetta Sportwagen, Passat, Tiguan 2009– 2014 All All Beetle 2012– 2014 All All Touraeg 2009– 2014 All All The Apple iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5s, as well as the iPad 4th generation and iPod Nano 7th generation use a proprietary “Lightning” connector that is different than the 30 - pin dock connector found on previous iPhone and iPad/iPod models. A new MDI cable (“MDI Adapter Cable – Lightning Charger”) is now available through the VW Accessories eCatalog that is made for use with iPhone 5 variants as well as the previously mentioned iPad/iPod models. This cable should provide full functionality on any vehicle equipped with a UMI (Unified Multimedia Interface). On MY 13 and older vehicles equipped with an MDI, the software level of the MDI must be at or above SW 240 (see Technical Bulletin 2024337) in order to be fully functional. It is also possible to use the iPhone 5 variants as well as the previously mentioned iPad/iPod models with the existing 30 pin MDI cable if used in conjunction with the Apple “Lighting” connector (adapter). This adapter is available for purchase from Apple and is not included with the device. Use of any aftermarket (non-Apple) adapter may prevent the device from connecting to the MDI and may only allow for charging of the device. 87-11-01 A/C Control Module Basic Settings April 4, 2014: Update to Information and model year applicability.
