Elsa / ODIS Feedback Process
The Service Information team would like to thank you for continuing to submit your feedbacks.
Each feedback is reviewed by the proper team and then addressed by the subject matter expert.
We would like to make everyone aware of the two different feedbacks systems.
Elsa Feedbacks: Please continue to send in Elsa-related feedbacks using the Feedback button
on the top toolbar in Elsa. This is for anything related to Repair Manuals, Wiring Diagrams,
Campaigns, Updates, Tech Tips, etc.
ODIS Feedbacks: Please use the Feedback option under the Help arrow and then select the
Support tab which will launch a window to enter your information for your feedback. Make sure
your email outbox is configured properly to use this feature. If you have issues, please contact
your dealership’s IT support. This allows for the Workshop Technology team to track and
accurately diagnosis your issue related to the ODIS system.
Following this process will allow for a better and quicker feedback resolution. Thanks for your
continued support and please continue to submit feedbacks.

Feedback Corner
This week's feedback is from Neal regarding a 2012 CC Wiring Diagram. He states:
"The wiring diagram for the throttle valve control module is incorrect. When viewing the
diagram, T6as pin 4 and 6 are the correct color wires but when testing from the ECM the pins
are backwards. T60 pin 44 and 24 do not match pins T6as 4 and 6.”
This feedback was reviewed by the Service Information team and is currently being fixed in Elsa.
We really appreciate Neal sending in feedback to help improve the quality of the repair
information.

To ensure that customer concerns are being properly addressed, please reference
the following information for examples of the Service Numbers available for
customer concerns/technician findings. Proper Service Number usage will ensure
customer concerns/technician findings are properly addressed allowing for more
accurate and timely repair information, Required Vehicle Updates and Technical

Clutch-Related Service Numbers
If the customer is experiencing clutch related issues and the concern is found to be
within the clutch components, please use the following Service Numbers below.
Example: there is a noise during clutch operation and the throw-out bearing is
deemed faulty. Replace the throw-out bearing and use Service Number 3045 for
warranty submission not 3056 or 3005. This will allow Volkswagen to clearly
identify the cause of the failure.

The customer may hear a squeaking noise at idle. This may be caused by the PCV
valve. The valve is mounted to the right rear cylinder head (Exhaust Camshaft).
The rear of the Camshaft boss (FIG 1-1), rides on the inside diameter of the PCV
valve seal (FIG 1-2).
There is a centering boss internal to the valve that may be causing the “squeaking”
noise as it comes in contact with the boss.

The TPMS system on the MY vehicles listed above, is now an indirect type system.
There are no sensors in the wheels as on previous models. There is no separate
TPMS module, as all functions are part of the ABS module and monitored through
the ABS sensors. For more information on the system, see the May edition of Tech
