Situation:
JLR have received customer reports that the engine cooling fan operation is excessively noisy in operation for an extended period of time
when the vehicle is being charged using a low ouput plug in home charger.
Cause:
Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) software.
Action:
Follow the instruction(s) below.
DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUCTION:
1. Connect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment and the JLR approved battery support unit.
2. Launch Diagnosis Device Agent, and log in.
3. Select ‘Browse all’.
4. Select ‘Diagnostics.
5. Within ‘Modules’ select ’Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) Control Module'.
6. Within ‘Module Programming’ select ‘HVAC Software - Update Module’.
7. Select ‘Run’.
8. Follow all on-screen instructions to complete the task.
9. Disconnect the JLR approved diagnostic equipment and the JLR approved battery support unit.
