91 Bluetooth call quality issues for caller on other end of call

Bluetooth hands-free telephone
system
Condition: When the driver uses the Bluetooth hands-free telephone
system to make a call, the listener on the other end cannot clearly
understand the driver. The driver’s voice sounds muffled, as if it is being
heard from under water.
Production Solution: Improved microphone installation procedure and
optimized microphone seal staring with January 2012 vehicle production.
Microphones with improved seals are at the 03S level or greater.
91 Sound system has background static with hill-hold active

inoperative.
Message “Side Assist Unavailable” is displayed in the Driver
Information Display when the system deactivates.
Workshop Findings:
Audi Lane Change Assistant can be activated without issue.
• One or both of the following DTCs is stored in the Lane Change
Assistance control module:
• DTC 02853 (Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamp -K233Open/Short Circuit to B+)
• DTC 02854 (Lane Change Assistance Warning Lamp -K234Open/Short Circuit to B+)

This Update has been proactively released to prevent the following
condition from occurring in the vehicle: Rough idle or reduced driving
power and, in turn, an illuminated Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on
the instrument cluster due to the presence of specific fault codes caused
by this component. This Update is in effect until removed. Vehicle must
meet all of the following criteria:
•
Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the 28G6 code in the
ElsaWeb Campaign/Action Information screen on the day of
repair.
• Vehicle must be within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
• Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame
stated in this Technical Service Bulletin.
• Procedure must be performed on applicable vehicles in dealer
inventory prior to sale.
