Customer states:
• A rattle or knocking type noise is heard in the engine compartment.
Workshop findings:
•
The noises can be duplicated with the engine running and either at a standstill while idling or driving slowly on
either smooth or rough pavement particularly when cornering.
Technical Background
A refrigerant line may be in contact with the right front longitudinal member.

3. Figure 3 shows this contact at a different
angle.

4. Create at least a 1.5 cm gap between the refrigerant line and the longitudinal member. It should be
possible to move the line away from the longitudinal member by carefully bending it slightly. If
necessary, secure the line with a tie wrap.
