Case Number: S2325000007 Release Date: September 2023 Symptom/Vehicle Issue: MIL/check engine lamp comes on after performing U90 recall PCM software update. Customer Complaint/Technician Observation: MIL/check engine lamp comes on after performing U90 recall PCM software update. Upon further investigation, a DTC for P050B-COLD START IGNITION TIMING PERFORMANCE is set in the PCM. Discussion: If the DTC listed above is present under the described conditions, erase the fault and return the vehicle to the customer. Advise the customer that the MIL may come back on and that the issue is under engineering investigation. If the DTC listed above is present and the vehicle has NOT had the PCM software update for the U90 recall, please follow the published diagnostic routine found in Service Library for the corresponding DTC.
