• Steering malfunction warning in the instrument cluster.
Workshop findings:
One of the following DTCs are logged in the rear axle wheel steering control module, J1019 (address word
00CB):
• B200FF0 with symptom code 251 and/or 129.
or
• C12A329 with symptom code 224.

The software for the rear axle wheel steering control module needs to be updated.

SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. This step only applies to symptom code 251 (For the remaining symptom codes, go to step 3). Perform the
basic setting in the self-diagnosis of the J1019 control unit. (When doing so, use service login 20103).
3. Update the J1019 (00CB) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if necessary:

4. Perform wheel alignment, with the following recommendation:
• Go as far as the tolerance limits for negative camber and positive toe (toe-in) on the rear axle.
• Select the center of the tolerance range for the toe on the front axle.
