Please always follow the repair process steps outlined in the workshop manual/ELSA. Before attempting the repair service solution, the follow steps must be completed: • Confirm that there are no visible engine oil traces and/ or leaks present. • Perform an oil consumption test in ODIS in order to confirm that the engine is consuming engine oil over the allowed limit. Please refer to TSB 2059366 for additional instructions. • Upload both GFF logs (i.e. Part 1 and Part 2) of the ODIS oil consumption test to GFF paperless. • Confirm that oil consumption is over the allowed limit as per oil consumption test (executed in ODIS). • Enter all of information that the ODIS tester prompts for entry, (e.g. driving profile data and Long-term memory of trip computer data).
