Condition
Customer statement:
The anti-theft alarm goes off intermittently without any outside influence.
Workshop findings:
One of the following DTCs and symptom code combinations are stored in the Comfort System Control Module, J393- (address word 0046):
• U107600: Local data bus 2 – electrical fault.
• U10F300: Sirens / alarm horn for anti-theft alarm system – no communication.
Technical Background
The cause of the concern is still under investigation.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
Performing a reset of the Comfort System Control Module, -J393- (address word 0046) will prevent the
customer’s concern from returning.
1. Pull the three terminal 30 fuses for the convenience control unit -J393- for at least 5 minutes (Use diagrams
and repair instructions provided by the repair manual to locate the fuses as necessary).
2. Once complete clear the faults and release the vehicle.
