Service Director, Parts Manager, Used Vehicle Sales Manager,
and Warranty Administrator
On August 5, 2015, all GM dealers were notified that the vehicle population
involved in Safety Recall 14491 was being expanded. That communication also
stated that the front passenger air bag inflators needed to repair the additional
vehicles were not yet available.
The purpose of this message is to advise that a sufficient quantity of the air bag
inflators is now available to begin repairing these vehicles. Also, please note that
we will begin mailing recall notification letters to the additional customers on
February 5, 2016. A generic copy of the letter is attached. Each letter will be
personalized when printed.
