Please discard PIT5066. The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition/Concern Some customers may report that their vehicle will not crank intermittently due to a dead battery It has been identified through Engineering that there is a potential for the HVAC afterblow function to cause an intermittent battery draw. Recommendation/Instructions If no other vehicle system or component is identified as the root cause for the battery drain condition and the afterblow function is enabled, reprogram the HVAC Control Module with the latest calibration currently available in TIS2WEB. Warranty Information For vehicles repaired under warranty use: Labor Operation Description Labor Time 2810015 K33 HVAC System Control Module Reprogramming Use Published Labor Operation Time Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
