This service bulletin applies to certain 2014 through 2024 model year,
Gladiator, Metro Star, and KME Panther model emergency response
chassis cabs built between October 9, 2014 and September 27, 2023.
CONDITION:
Certain vehicles equipped with 92 inch or longer roof mounted light bars
could experience fracture of the light bar mounting brackets.
CORRECTION:
Replace light bar bracket with improved design bracket.
LABOR ALLOCATION:

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Thoroughly review entire service bulletin before starting work. If there are questions or concerns
with steps defined in this service bulletin, contact Spartan Fire, LLC. Customer & Product Support
Group.
All applicable industry safety standards must be followed when performing work identified in this
procedure.
Step By Step Instructions
1) Locate light bar bracket on cab roof as shown in figure 2.1.

Support light bar so bracket circled above can be removed from both sides.
Remove brackets one at a time.
Install new bracket part number 4861-GG2-001 on each side.
Tighten fasteners appropriately.
Repair is complete.
