Condition
This bulletin only applies to Q8 e-tron variants with a single charging port.
Customer states:
• The orientation light in the charging flap module does not work.
Workshop findings:
• No relevant DTCs are stored.
The orientation light in the charging flap module does not work if the vehicle is only equipped with one charging
flap module.
Technical Background
The orientation light in the charging flap module aims to help the customer correctly plug in the charging
connector in dark conditions. A second charging flap module can be ordered as an option on the Q8 e-tron.
If the vehicle is only equipped with single charging flap module the orientation light does not work. An error in the
OBC (00C6) software means that the orientation light LED is not activated when the vehicle is equipped with only
one charging flap module.
If the vehicle is equipped with both charging flap modules (left and right) the lighting is active and functions as
designed.
