This Technical bulletin serves as a guide and provides additional diagnostic info for possible AFLS
related DTCs stored in the AFLS ECU:
-
B2866-16 - Left Headlamp Leveling Module-Circuit Voltage Below Threshold
-
B2879-16 - Right Headlamp Leveling Module-Circuit Voltage Below Threshold
MODEL: Quattroporte (M156) from MY19 onwards
CUSTOMER CONCERN: AFLS System message and warning light of the present in the Instrument
Panel Cluster (IPC) during engine start up or restart and during start/stop (SS)
DTCs in ECU: in AFLS ECU are present the following DTC:
-
B2866-16 - Left Headlamp Leveling Module-Circuit Voltage Below Threshold
-
B2879-16 - Right Headlamp Leveling Module-Circuit Voltage Below Threshold

1) Perform am complete battery test using the Maserati E-XTEQ MAXIMUS and attach it later to
BOL.
2) According to the wiring diagram “FE0422 Headlight alignment adjustment” check on the
connector (M020) of the AFLS module:
-
Power supply on PINS 3 - 14 and 24;
-
Ground on PINS 10 and 23.
CONCLUSIONSI: if no anomalies are found on the electrical connections, DO NOT REPLACE any
components. Open a BOL as “SUPPORT REQUEST” and attach, and report all the information
collected throughout all the above checks
