The service air bag light on with code B2502, B1104, B2500. They call the replaced part as "display/clock" assembly which makes it sound like a non-safety related issue but it is actually something wrong with the airbag. It happened twice on my car. The first time it is was still in warranty, mileage should be around 30k-40k km. This time the mileage is 125506km. What makes me nervous is that the passenger airbag light in the "display/clock" unit flashes irregularly for about 10-30 seconds when starting the car. I said irregular flashes, i meant the kind that are caused by unsecured connection of wire.

Throttle sticks wide open on my 1998 Mazda B2500 truck. Only recourse is to turn engine off to slow down. Have had it in to Mazda shop twice for this problem. First time under warranty, could not find the problem second time, Mazda says not covered under warranty, even though they had a tsb for this problem. I don't want to be a fatal statistic, because of yet another vehicle manufacturers failure to act.

1998 Mazda B2500 se extended cab: problems with engine idle speed during idle situations (e.G., stop sign, stoplight, garage start) w/ clutch disengaged; engine revs from 1000 rpm to 3000 rpm and then quickly back down to 1000 rpm. This is dangerous because it could be a potential root cause of an accident.

Nhtsa # ea198010 headlight switch recall excluded the B1500 and B2500 series stating that the power draw is not as great as the B3500 series. This is in error. My 1995 B2500 burned out this same light switch and left me with no headlights. (i have not added any additional lighting). I request that ea98010 be reopened to include the B1500 and B2500 series trucks as this is a safety hazard which is the same problem as the B3500 series. I replaced the switch at my expense and can send you the old one if you need it.
