2008 CHEVROLET AVEO with 27000.0 miles

My 2008 chevy Aveo with approximately 27,000 miles recently showed the airbag light continually lit. I took it into the local chevy dealership and they said the dtc code was B2502 at a cost of $110 for diagnosing it. He cleared the code and the light is not lit anymore. He said he had seen this before and said the light might come back on and wanted me to order a clock/pps indicator for $87.89 and with labor, shop costs, and tax would total $266.15. Do all car manufactures use the same dtc codes? I told him i would take it as it is and see if the light comes on in the future. Does this make sense for this code?
AIR BAGS,

2005 CHEVROLET OPTRA with 20000.0 miles

The service air bag light on with code B2502, B1104, B2500. They call the replaced part as "display/clock" assembly which makes it sound like a non-safety related issue but it is actually something wrong with the airbag. It happened twice on my car. The first time it is was still in warranty, mileage should be around 30k-40k km. This time the mileage is 125506km. What makes me nervous is that the passenger airbag light in the "display/clock" unit flashes irregularly for about 10-30 seconds when starting the car. I said irregular flashes, i meant the kind that are caused by unsecured connection of wire.
