P07A3

Transmission Friction Element "A" Stuck On

DTC P07A3, sometimes indicated as P07A300 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a generic fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the hybrid propulsion system causing transmission friction element "a" stuck on.

The DTC P07A3: Transmission Friction Element "A" Stuck On code means that one of the transmission friction elements is stuck on. This can be caused by a number of things, including debris in the transmission, worn transmission components, or a failure of the transmission control module (TCM).
If this code is present, the first step is to check the transmission fluid level and condition. If the transmission fluid is dirty or low, it needs to be flushed and replaced. If the transmission fluid is clean and at the correct level, the next step is to check the condition of the transmission components. If any of the components are worn or damaged, they will need to be replaced. If the TCM is faulty, it will need to be replaced.

Ford transmission problems wont go away!! Transmission shutter and poor initial acceleration. The clutch has been replaced twice and tcm twice by Ford dealer. After the last tcm replacement in 2016 problems continued and i was turned away by Ford dealerships because no engine light came on. Now that finally a check engine light came on U0101, P07A3, i am now over 100, 000 miles the clutch is no longer covered under warranty but the tcm is. I have had several incidents where the car lost all acceleration abilities while driving on a busy highway or simply fail to accelerate and a traffic light causing major delays for anyone around me. It has been a saftey concern for years due to the unpredictability of the transmission intermittently not allowing acceleration.

2013 FORD FOCUS with 119000. miles

Doesn't accelerate half the time when i hit gas. Doesn't go reverse half the time i put it in reverse. Shuts off randomly. Shakes , shutters. Had codes P07A3 and P2872 show up and Ford said they aren't transmission related even tho both codes have the word " transmission in the code summary. Couldn't get involved in 55mill lawsuit because i haven't had 2 repairs on it. Been in shop since 50k miles getting seniors and stuff replaced. Car has never improved even tho i keep spending money. It's been in shop 3 weeks now. They said might be trans issue now but the radiator is messed up and they can't proceed without 600 dollars. Help before car kills some1. Millions of youtube videos show same issues i have. Ford don't do anything but deny cause 1.8 cars out there from the same assembly plant mine is from with same issues

2012 FORD FOCUS with 114000. miles

My 2012 Ford Focus has had a transmission recall 3 times that i know of since i purchased it in 2012. 2 months after having the car it started stalling, stuttering and not accelerating. It was very scary to drive. I had the car serviced by the dealership 3 times for the same problem. Why are they selling these cars knowing the transmission is bad. Ive been having the same problem with this car for 7 years. It always seems like it is going to cut off while you are driving, it is not safe to drive because it is so unpredictable. My dealerdhip had a 30 day wait time to see my car. They are so busy repairing recalls. So now i have to rent a car while my car sits and wait. The car is paid off and i'm still giving Ford money to drive this car. It's over 100,000 miles on it and 7 years old. The repairs should be free since i've had the luxury of being inconvenienced over the past 7 years. Now here it is 2019 and i am having the exact same problem with this little Ford Focus of mine. People say that Ford stands for fix.Or.Repair.Daily..... I now believe them. I want does to repair this problem under the extended warranty they gave me. I am so frustrated right now. I asked service to diagnose my car's problem and they say sure that will cost you $125 and then says we are the cheapest in town to diagnose. I said no thank you! I went to an auto parts store to have them diagnose my problem and it was free and it gave me a transmission friction a stuck on code P07A3. That is a power train problem. The transmission has issues. I purchased a lemon that does not have enough power to make lemonade😣😭😢😤😤😤😤😠😠.
