Pressure Control Solenoid "A" Control Circuit High

DTC P0963, sometimes indicated as P096300 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a generic fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the onboard computer system or ancillary outputs causing pressure control solenoid "a" control circuit high.

This code is set when the PCM detects a high voltage or short to ground on the Pressure Control Solenoid "A" circuit.
Possible causes include a bad pressure control solenoid, a wiring problem, a bad PCM, or a bad sensor.
If the code is intermittent, the problem is most likely a bad sensor. If the code is constant, the problem is most likely a bad pressure control solenoid, a wiring problem, or a bad PCM.
If the code is caused by a bad pressure control solenoid, the solenoid will need to be replaced.
If the code is caused by a wiring problem, the wiring will need to be repaired.
If the code is caused by a bad PCM, the PCM will need to be replaced.

2008 GMC ACADIA with 145000. miles

Due to deceleration the mechanic replaced the throttle body. After that the vehicle decelerates often driving down the street and seems to slip into neutral. Also will just die at times. Now they are saying a new transmission even though it was replaced 13 months ago. Codes P07756 P0797 stuck on P0963 P0969 P2728 road test by mechanic the vehicle seemed to take off in a higher gear and exhibited low power. During continued driving the transmission slipped out of gear before finally engaging their diagnosis internal transmission failure recommend replace transmission.
