2015 CHEVROLET MALIBU with 100000. miles

In sept of 2019, my check engine light came on for my 2015 chevy Malibu. I took it to the dealership and it ran the code P2646, and the they told me that i needed the gm part 12633613. They attempted to order it, but said it was on backorder and had been for a while and they would look into it for me. Here it is, feb of 2020 and still no part. Gm that the part has been discontinued and there is no eta for a new part. They told me it was okay to drive, but it has a rough idle, power surges, it can barely accelerate and it has stalled on me several times. They keep telling me oh it's a "part delay". No, it's not ! You don't make the part anymore. There are thousands of people who have the 2014-2015 Malibu's & impala's with the same issue. They need to issue a recall and fix these cars. My car is less than 5 years old & there is no reason that they shouldn't have a very simple, $60 part for it.

I own a 2015 Malibu lt 2.5l, i have not been able to pass the state required inspection due to a faulty oil control solenoid. (gm part #12633613 or gm part # 19419980) i have incurred over $1000 in diagnostic fees and taken the car to three (3) different independent mechanics and two (2) gm certified parts dealers trying to get this part replaced. Gm is no longer manufacturing and referring customers to aftermarket parts.(aftermarket part recommended is the dorman 916-806) in doing research trying to find this part it seems this same part has malfunctioned on every 2014-2015 year model Malibu and impala and gm is still not issuing a recall. I have filed customer service inquiries/complaints with multiple dealerships and gm directly. This is an egregious example of a manufacturing defect and they are offering no alternative other than buying a new car. The car is showing a code error P2646 (rocker arm malfunction in bank 1 stuck in off position). I have been attempting to rectify this problem since october 2019, and filed the official complaint with gm april,2020. Case # with gm 9-592-2813084

2014 CHEVROLET IMPALA with 60000.0 miles

Faulty rocker arm oil control valve, code P2646. Gm refuses to recall though it's known issue. Gm does not have part nor are they producing it, but there's numerous complaints online and this is a major safety issue. How am i supposed to fix it and make my car safe if they won't make the part? Either they recall it or they pay for fix at dealership. I've had two separate mechanics verify this issue and can provide documentation if asked. If i need to hire lawyer for class-action suit i can. There is already a petition on change.Org, https://www.Change.Org/p/general-motors-make-gm-issue-a-recall-for-faulty-rocker-arm-oil-control-valve-in-2014-and-2015-chevy-Impala-s-and-malibu-s, with over 500 signatures.

2014 CHEVROLET MALIBU with 10 miles

The vehicle stops while in motion and in driving gear then wheel lock up. Making it unable to proceed to turn or drive. This does not matter if on highway or public street. Had to have car towed to cottmans and the mechanic stated that this issue is known and was covered by manufacturers under codes P0011 and P2646. Your assistance is needed with resolving this matter as my car is not driveable.

Got a check engine light. The code was P2646. Replaced the vtec-oil pressure switch with a new one at a cost of $55. Changed oil and filter. Reset the code. But the code still keeps on coming and it difficult to accelerate beyond 3500 rpm.
