O2 Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1

DTC P2A03, sometimes indicated as P2A0300 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the causing o2 sensor circuit range/performance bank 2 sensor 1.

The P2A03 code is caused by a problem with the oxygen sensor. The sensor is not reading the oxygen levels correctly, which can cause the engine to run too rich or too lean.
There are several things that can cause the oxygen sensor to fail, including a bad sensor, a problem with the wiring or connector, or a problem with the engine control unit.
If the code is being caused by a bad sensor, the sensor will need to be replaced. If the code is being caused by a problem with the wiring or connector, the wiring or connector may need to be repaired or replaced. If the code is being caused by a problem with the engine control unit, the engine control unit may need to be replaced.

2008 KIA SORENTO with 60300.0 miles

2008 Kia Sorento start-up stalling temperamentally for three weeks. On 9/11/2012 the check engine light and esc off light appeared, followed with a "putting" engine and limp mode. The car would not accelerate when foot applied to gas pedal. Kia dealership confirmed tps and brake sensor failure and electronic stability control needed reprogramming. (error codes read: P2135, P0638, and P2A00 or P2A03.)
