2007 NISSAN PATHFINDER with 147045. miles

While driving the truck normally, in the morning, i came to a stop at a stoplight. Once the light turned green i pressed the pedal to accelerate and the truck was slow to respond (as if it was in a higher gear to start) once it was up to about 20mph it drove decent enough. I came to another stop and it happened again, same as before, and the check engine light came on. I was stopping at a school to drop kids off and turned into a spot and turned off the truck. It would not turn back on when attempted. I checked the diagnostic codes and came up with U1000, U1001, P0717. I had to tow it away from the parking lot a couple days later. Once i was able to check the truck out, i found a substantial amount of transmission fluid (frothed) in the coolant. I read that this is due to the internal radiator transmission cooler failing and mixing the coolant with the transmission fluid. I also found that the reason for the truck not starting was that the 10a fuse for the a/t ecu blew. I have replaced the radiator, flushed the cooling system, and am about to take a sample of the transmission fluid to see if there is coolant in the transmission before i talk to a repair facility about repairing the transmission.

2006 NISSAN ARMADA with 145000. miles

Own a 2006 Nissan Armada le. Started my truck and the brake, vdc, slip, and 4wd lights lit up on the dashboard. Thought it appeared because it was getting cold. Drove a couple of blocks down a city a street and heard a loud grinding noise when the brakes were pressed and the truck jolted a little bit. After another block, lights went away and didn't have more any issues on the way home. When i got home, turn the truck off and restarted the truck, no lights. Did a google search and read many issues relating to this. A couple a days later checked the truck, on start-up...No lights, then when i put it in drive, the same lights lit up. Took it to the dealership, lights were lit, brakes engaged, and speedometer was fluctuating and then didn't move. When i arrived at the dealership, speedometer activated again when the truck was put in park. Nissan dealership did a diagnostic test and the advisor indicated both the ecm and abs actuator assembly were fried and needed to be replaced, $3,100 to start out with. Truck is still at the shop, no work has started. Notified Nissan customer relations since there is a known issue, waiting to hear back. Also called another dealership to see what they could tell me and it was mentioned that there is a known issue. Called the service dept. Back the next day and talked to another advisor, the advisor indicated since there are some are hard codes (U1000, U1001) displayed with the ecm and abs assembly, the systems potentially need to be replaced.

2004 NISSAN SENTRA with 198005. miles

Driving & all gauges in dashboard turned off. The same day, the car didn't respond normally when gas pedal was pressed. The gas pedal was pressed several times before car took in gas. Parked car, & later that day restarted car. Car again didn't respond well when pressing accelerator. Gauges still non operational. Car died & battery tested by aaa. Battery found to be ok, but charging system was issue. Towed to tow yard & told alternator needed to be replaced. New, not rebuilt, alternator replaced by cousin & fuse (not sure which one) was found to be blown & replaced. Gauges worked after fuse & alternator replaced. Check engine light came on several days later. Cked car on auto zones free diagnostic tool & diagnostic trouble code U1001 can communication line & P0462 secondary code given. Car died again bout week later & towed to pep boys. Pep boys said battery needed replacement, so i had aaa test it & aaa said its the charging system. Aaa replaced the battery after much ado. Car taken back to pep boys for 'electronic diagnosis' & they said alternator! Alternator tested at separate battery shop & tested fine. Later found meter fuse blown. Took to mechanic specializing in electrical & he scanned pcm & found no communication on data lines. Had blown meter fuse causing false code. Mechanic cleared out codes & test drove. He ckd charge 14.2 volts. Mechanic told me to bring it in if happens again. Well, happened again & replaced meter fuse & ck engine light on again. Electrical mechanic said it's a short somewhere & i'd have to leave car for maybe several days. Had a friend inspect under dashboard & cked under the gear shifter & ckd speedometer wires & didn't find any shorts. Googled "meter fuse Nissan Sentra" & meter fuse has created a lot of problems. Problems listed on forums. I've already spent $550, can't afford to pay Nissan $150 diagnostic fee yet.

2002 NISSAN ALTIMA with 98000.0 miles

Engine light. See service bulleton 06009. Nhtsa# 100119613. Cannot diagnose problem. Dealer replaced battery, then wanted to replace ipdm. Had car checked by aaa certified shop. Cannot diagnose problem even though now i am having issues with how car runs. Am afraid car will stall on high way. Several mechanics stated that they believe the dealer is guessing on the diagnosis. No codes except U1000 and U1001 are being stored in computer. I have spent several hundred dollars trying to diagnose problem. This affect all 2002-2006 Nissan. Cars should be recalled before a serious accident occurs.
