  • USA Recall: If the converter fails, it can increase the risk of a fire.
    Altec industries inc. (altec) is recalling certain 2015-2017 altec ta45m and am50/55 aerial devices equipped with 500w dc-dc converters. due to voltage and current spikes, the converter can fail and cause a fire.

    Corrective Action:
    Altec will notify owners, and dealers will replace the 500w dc-dc converter with one that has a revised design, free of charge. the recall began december 10, 2018. owners may contact altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. altec's number for this recall is csn 699.
