    The park mechanism of the a4ld automatic transmission may not engage when the selector lever is placed in the "park" position. if parked on an incline, the vehicle may roll as if in neutral if the parking brake is not set. this could result in a vehicle accident or personal injury. correction: owners will be notified of condition and advised to set the parking brake each time they park their vehicle. owners will also be advised when dealers receive parts and repair instructions after further investigation by ford.
