Recall 2005260

  • CA Recall: Suspension
On certain vehicles, the front suspension coil springs may have received insufficient corrosion protection during manufacturing and, in areas where road salt is used, may be susceptible to corrosion. additionally, rubber sleeves were applied near the top and bottom of some springs to eliminate noise. the sleeves can trap salt water, increasing the potential for excessive corrosion. over time, excessive corrosion can cause spring failure. spring breakage in the bottom sleeve area could puncture the tire. correction: dealers will replace both front coil springs.
