Recall 2012285
CA Recall: Powertrain
On certain trucks, the driveshaft attachment bolts may not have received adequate tightening torque during vehicle assembly. should the fasteners loosen and fall out, a driveshaft could detach from the vehicle. this would result in a loss of vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. also, a driveshaft separating from the vehicle could strike another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander. these issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. correction: dealers will tighten the u-joint fasteners of both driveshafts to the prescribed torque.
