Recall 2016337

  • CA Recall: Powertrain
On certain cab chassis trucks, due to a defect in the transfer case, the rear main output shaft could fracture. this could result in a loss of motive power, which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions may increase the risk of a crash. this would also cause a loss of park functionality when in two wheel drive, potentially leading to unintended vehicle movement. these issues could result in injury and/or damage to property correction: dealers will replace the transfer case. note: the vehicle will remain operable in four wheel drive.
