  • CA Recall: Structure
    Issue: on certain trucks, the t-bolts for the transmission air tank straps may have been over-tightened. this could cause the straps to deform and allow the air tank to drop to the ground. if the air tank detaches, the transmission would not shift. safety risk: an air tank that completely detaches from the truck could create a road hazard for others. a transmission that does not shift properly could increase the risk of a crash. corrective actions: volvo will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to inspect the transmission air tank straps for damage. the straps will be replaced as required.
