  • CA Recall: Structure
    Issue: on certain trucks equipped with a fifth wheel trailer hitch, the left-hand mounting bracket for the hitch may be cracked. as a result, the fifth wheel assembly may become loose and could detach while towing a trailer. if this happens, the trailer could separate from the truck. note: this recall only affects dual rear wheel trucks with a pickup box and a 6.7 l diesel engine. safety risk: a trailer that separates from the truck could create the risk of a crash. corrective actions: ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the left-hand mounting bracket for the fifth wheel trailer hitch. it will be replaced, if necessary.
