  • USA Recall: The incorrect labels could cause confusion as to whether the childproof safety lock was activated.
    Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. the affected vehicles were built with incorrect child lock instruction labels.

    Corrective Action:
    Owners will be provided with correct labels.

    Additional Notes:
    Owner notification began march 27, 2000.owners who do not receive the correct labels within a reasonable time should contact daimlerchrysler at 1-800-992-1997. also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
