• Recall 1993034 [Canada]: Powertrain
  On certain vehicles, the transmission fluid may be forced out of the vent tube due to heat generation in the transmission caused by trailering heavy loads at high speeds or high-load/off road use. If the vented transmission fluid comes in contact with the catalytic converter, the fluid could ignite resulting in a vehicle fire. Correction: dealers will install a longer transmission vent hose routed to the left side of the vehicle.

  Certain vehicles may develop an abnormal pressure build-up in the transmission with the possibility of transmission fluid coming out of the filler tube onto hot engine parts resulting in a possible vehicle fire. Correction: owners will be provided with a new dipstick with a lock-seal top and new owner manual instructions and graphics for checking the automatic transmission fluid level.

• Recall 1988070 [Canada]: Brakes
  Certain C2500 and k2500 vehicles with 6.2 litre diesel engines and thm700 r-4 transmissions the rear antilock brake system could become disabled by an electrical malfunction. The front and rear brakes will continue to function but the brake warning indicator light will not inform the driver of the rear wheel antilock failure.(non-compliance with cmvss 105 - hydraulic brake systems). Correction: electrical malfunction will be corrected by installing a jumper wire harness between the transmission connection and the engine wire harness.

  On certain vehicles, the cruise control cable lock mechanism may self-disengage. When this occurs, vibrations can cause the cable to readjust by itself resulting in erratic cruise control operation or the throttle not returning to idle. Correction: a clamp will be installed around the lock tab of the cruise cable on all affected vehicles.

  On certain vehicles, door striker nuts may be cracked or broken. In the event of a collision impact, a cracked or broken striker nut could allow the door to unexpectedly open. Cmvss 206 - door latches hinges and locks. Correction: door striker nuts will be replaced.

• Recall 1987095 [Canada]: Brakes
  On certain vehicles, the right hand front brake hose on a full left hand turn and the left hand front brake hose on a full right hand turn might contact the wheel or tire. This could eventually wear the hose to the point of rupture resulting in loss of front brakes. Loss of front brakes at a time when minimum stopping distance is required could result in a vehicle crash without prior warning. Correction: new front brake hose brackets will be installed and worn front brake hoses replaced.
