• Recall 14257 [USA]: Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire.
  Vehicle description: passenger vehicles built with 3.5l engines. The fuel injection delivery system can leak fuel from some of the sealing o-rings or from hair line cracks in the thermoset fuel injection rail.
  dealers will replace the fuel rail o-rings and reinforce the outlet (passenger) side fuel rail. Vehicles showing fuel leakage on the outlet fuel rail must have the outlet rail replaced which includes changing the upper and lower injector o-rings. However, if a vehicle is leaking fuel from the o-rings or from a cracked fuel line, the vehicle should be taken into a dealer to have this repaired as soon as possible.

• Recall 19057 [USA]: Electrical system malfunction causing stalling while in motion or an inoperative park/starter interlock system, which allows engine start while the transmission is not in the park position, may result in an accident.
  The right steering tie rod can rub through the automatic transmission wiring harness causing a short circuit which results in electrical system malfunctions including engine stalling and an inoperative park/starter interlock system.

  Mr. Larry a. Sackey submitted a petition to the national highway traffic safety administration (nhtsa) by letter dated april 18, 2003, requesting that nhtsafurther investigate the "defective collapsible steering shaft system" on 1987-1995 vehicles manufactured by the daimlerchrysler corporation.In part because of 49 cfr ? 30120(g), nhtsa has decided to limit the scope of the petition vehicles to 1993-1995 models, excluding the 1993 jeep grand cherokee and 1994-1995 dodge ram series trucks that were recalled (93v210 & 96v230) for steering column failure.If the analysis of these vehicles had identified a potential problem, the scope could have been expanded in an investigation.A review of odis data base shows no recent complaints and a lack of a complaint trend concerning the subject issue on the subject vehicles as a whole or by individual models.Therefore, the petition is denied.For details, see federal register notice volume 68, no. 130, july 8, 2003.

Chrysler corp. Recall for power seat adjuster in 2012 , took the vehicle in three times and never got this replaced as i was told there were no parts, you would have to get out of the vehicle to move the power seat,on my last visit to the dealership in january 2013 i found that the wheels kept trying to go their own way so i went for a wheel alinement the shop showed me that the steering rack was in fact cracked in half, don't know how that came about but i paid for the replacement but still never heard from them about the adjuster, i still own this vehicle and have replaced many parts but i'm still waiting for the power seat adjuster.

Tl* the contact owns a 1994 chrysler new yorker. While driving between 50-60 mph the front driver seat collapsed into the back seat without warning. He was able to resume operation with extreme caution. The manufacturer and authorized dealer were notified of the malfunction. The vehicle has not been repaired at this time. The failure and current mileages were 100,000.

Tl*the contact owns a 1994 chrysler new yorker. The vehicle stalls while driving 5 mph and in park ever since it was purchased. The contact stated that the interlock and electrical systems were the cause of the failure. The contact was advised by the dealer and manufacturer to call nhtsa concerning nhtsa campaign number id number 94v024000 (electrical system:wiring), because they had no record of a recall for the vehicle. Car will not go forward until engine temp. Hand gets up to the normal operating temp. The vehicle backs up just fine but once it start forward run and change gear ok. *nm

While driving approximately 50 mph consumer hit a cement bulk. Upon impact, air bags did not at all deploy. Cause was undetermined.*ak

Chrysler placed 1993 abs systems on early production 1994 new yorker models. The 1993 new yorker has been recalled for the abs system. Chrysler refuses to recall the 1994 new yorker with the 1993 abs system. A catastrophe waiting to happen.*ak

While driving 25 mph vehicle stalled. Dealerships mechanic determined that the problem pertained to the fuel injection system failure. Consumer managed to pull over, and had vehicle towed to the dealer, who did not resolve the problem. *ak

Attempting to drive the car steering "crunching" noise when steering left or right. Noise dissipates as vehicle warms up. Steering feels as though it wanders only for a second. P.S fluid changed no change. *la
