  Curt mfg is recalling certain class 3 receiver hitches, p/n 13347, sold as aftermarket equipment for use on 1997-2007 chrysler town and country vans, 1996-2007 dodge caravans, and 1996-2004 plymouth voyager vans. When the hitch is loaded to the maximum rating, the hitch may fracture or break at the bend location where the main body of the hitch meets the hitch muffler strap.

  Certain curved tempered replacement glass manufactured by hangzhou safety glass ltd and supplied to safelite by auto temp inc., identified as dot-430, and sold for use on certain domestic and foreign vehicles may not break into small pieces as expected of tempered glass and fails to conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 205, "glazing materials."
  safelite will notify its retail customers and replace the glass free of charge. Retail customers can contact safelite toll free at 1-888-843-2906. Safelite will notify its wholesale customers and reimburse wholesale customers for current inventory and at a specified rate for replacing their customer's glass.   Issue: this recall is for aftermarket replacement rear window glass produced by vitro automotriz. Certain rear window glass may not have been properly tempered. If the window breaks, the glass may separate into large pieces instead of very small ones. Note: this is a voluntary recall that is not being conducted under the requirements of the motor vehicle safety act. Safety risk: glass that breaks in to large pieces could create a risk of injury. Corrective actions: the company will notify consumers by mail and instruct them to inspect the designation code marked on the rear window glass. Products affected by this recall have the designation “dot 287” along with the lettering “vmr” (replacement market) and a date code that is before july 2019.   This defect petition evaluates july 7, 2014 allegations from an owner of a model year (my) 2007 dodge grand caravan minivan that engine stall occurs in these vehicles without warning after refueling.The petitioners vehicle is a chrysler rs platform minivan.The rs platform includes my 2003 through 2007 dodge grand caravan, dodge caravan, chrysler town and country and chrysler voyager minivans.Nhtsa evaluated the petition by analyzing consumer complaints submitted to the agency, analyzing field data, reviewing technical information provided in chryslers response to an agency information request and testing an rs minivan identified by its owner as experiencing post-refuel engine stalls.After completing this evaluation, nhtsa has concluded that further investigation is unlikely to result in a finding that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists.The stalls occurring in these vehicles only occur immediately after filling up the fuel tank and happen at low engine speeds. The failure rate is low, even after 8 to 13 years of the vehicles being in service, and there are no reports of crashes or injuries resulting from the stall condition.In the agencys view, additional investigation is unlikely to result in finding the existence of a safety-related defect in the subject vehicles.Given the need to allocate and prioritize nhtsas limited resources to best accomplish the agencys safety mission, the petition is denied.This action does not constitute a finding by nhtsa that a safety-related defect does not exist. Electrical system shut down and power window failure, dome light failure and remote control door lock/unlock failure

Vehicle stalls and cuts out ,after filling up tank. While driving. Dangerous. It is doing it at other times now too it is starting to do it at a longer time after fill up..

My gauges started going crazy. The abs and brake lights came on. The heater and radio went off while this was happening. At times the van just cut off in traffic but so far i'm able to start it up again. Was told by rick hendricks chevrolet service dept that i needed to an alternator. Had a new alternator installed by b&b automotive along with a tensioner. Van still doing the same thing. Also, when the gauges start going crazy, they make a tapping/ticking noise. I replaced the battery in october or november of last year because the van at times did not start.. On one occasion when i had trouble getting it to start, the next day i took it to gerald's tires and brakes who told me i needed a battery. This morning when i approached a stop sign and stopped, the van cut off but fortunately i was able to start it up again. This happens when the van is in motion. Happens just about every day because i drive to and from work. I limit my trips to get groceries or do any unnecessary driving because i'm afraid of the van cutting off in traffic.

3rd row seat belts do not lock in a accident. I was rear ended and had 2 booster seats with grandkids in them. The lap portion locked but the shoulder belts did not lock in the accident. This is very unsafe especially for children. We were on a busy street in omaha, ne when the accident happened. Hit from the rear at about 35 miles per hour or more. Also, my air bag did not deploy after i was hit from the rear, my car hit the person in front of me.

**the vehicle stalls shortly after filling up the tank. Usually it stalls while in traffic! Almost have caused many accidents! **it also now will not allow to pump gas into the tank unless it is at the lowest setting (20-25 minutes for a fill up).
