  Curt mfg is recalling certain class 3 receiver hitches, p/n 13347, sold as aftermarket equipment for use on 1997-2007 chrysler town and country vans, 1996-2007 dodge caravans, and 1996-2004 plymouth voyager vans. When the hitch is loaded to the maximum rating, the hitch may fracture or break at the bend location where the main body of the hitch meets the hitch muffler strap.

• Recall 59374 [USA]: Loss of brake fluid can lead to a decrease in brake line pressure and an increase in stopping distance, which can result in a vehicle crash.
  Certain aftermarket brake hydraulic master cylinders sold as replacement brake cylinders for certain ford, daimlerchrysler, and jeep passenger vehicles. These brake cylinders were sold under the brand names of napa, raybestos, aimco, ac delco, carquest, bendix, and wagner. Only products that were manufactured from july 27, 2005 through january 17, 2006 (date codes 0529 through 0602) are subject to this recall. When subject to very cold temperatures, an internal seal in the master cylinder could lose flexibility and may cause brake fluid to leak.

• Recall 34249 [USA]: This could result in a speaker fire.
  On certain mini vans, condensation from the instrument panel air conditioning ducts may drop through vent holes in the top of the radio and result in a short circuit that subsequently sends direct current to the rear speakers.

  On july 7, 2004, the office of defects investigation (odi) opened a preliminary evaluation based on consumer complaints alleging an interior vehicle fire starting in the area of the driver side rear speaker.Daimlerchrysler corporation (dcc) informed odi that condensation from the instrument panel air conditioning ducts may drip onto the radio and into vent holes on top of the radio.This can result in a short circuit sending direct current to the rear speakers and cause a speaker fire.The condition is present only on subject vehicles equipped with the base radio.Subject vehicles with other option radios contain circuit protection that prevents sending direct current to the speakers and are not affected.All nine complaints pertain to vehicles with the base radio.By letter dated november 1, 2004, dcc notified nhtsa that it will conduct a safety recall (nhtsa# 04v531) covering model year 2001-2002 dodge caravan, grand caravan, chrysler voyager, and town & country models with base radio only (est. 238,000 vehicles).Dcc dealers will install a protective tape to the top of the radio assembly to prevent water intrusion.The action taken by dcc is sufficient to resolve the issue raised by this investigation.Accordingly, this investigation is closed.

Second time no brakes. Fixed last year. Brake fluid leaks out gas still leaking from circular piece , not fixable. Piece was recalled ..Mechanic says car can catch on fire. One tire which has to do with brake isn't turning but weight of car can drag it. Wants to break ball joints, bearings ...To see problem.. Related to break fluid leaking out. Mechanic made a makeshift piece and welded to try and stop leak. Can't use defog, air, a/c or car reeks of gas. Complained about this last year as well. Gears shift by themselves, very scary. You go to put in park moves to reverse.. I am disabled. Barely use car. Only for nearby appointments. Have had gas leak 8 years and engine light was always on replaced almost part to figure out problem chrysler lied stating,"i improperly exported vehicle so cancelled entire warranty, without telling me the year i baught it. Should never have been sold. Gas gage leak was recalled, which is why previous owner sold it. Never exported car. Sent proof. They are lying about everything. Have proof. Car is a 2002 had 24,000, miles. Now 2019, only have 72,000. Miles. Spent as much replacing parts which doesn't matter because rust is eating through car. Body will go before new parts. Car was parked. Pulling out of parking lot after not using for many days, brakes felt not right. Had to press all the way to floor. Went few feet to mechanic. Very disappointed with your services. Reported to you so many times. Vehicle is dangerous according to numerous mechanics. Part not sold*dt*dt*dt*jb*dt

Have to drive windows open, all vents closed. Cannot use heat, ac, defog... 9. Gears change by itself. Put in drive, switches by itself 10. Brakes,problem with suspension, rotors, calipers 11. Serpentine belt melted 12.Evap leaks every year. Same codes, failed inspection every year 13.Airbag light always on 14. Lights, go on and off. Bulb broke no accidents, police pulled over several times 15.Seatbelt for child seat opens by itself, anchorage not keeping in place 16. Manufacturer cancelled 10 year ir 80,000 mile warranty the year i baught vehicle 2004 17. Previous owner had problems with fuel filter 18. Fuel leak cannot be fix3d. Mopar did search for fuel rail, center piece leaking, stopped making part. Can go on fire , mechanuc, jeffs auto repair mopar has given me 3 differents dates for warranty fca told me to junk car, with 43,000 miles or sell if has gas leak tires, had to change all 4, replaced with firestone had to change and pay for due to not honoring warranty drove 47,000 miles computer, catalytic converter, gas cap, starter, key stuck in ignition brakes, entirity, 2 mufflers, repeat smoke tests for evap leaks, lg and small, engine light 5 ww serpentine belt

Want car inspected for defects. Fuel rail leaking gas onto interior and exterior of vehicle. Gas fumes come in through vents, intoxicating cannot use vehicle. Mechanic stated,"can go on fire!" can catch on fire or ignite from cigarette or match outside vehicle cannot fix . No fuel rails made since 2017. Due to fire hazard cannot use one from j7nkyard or scrapyard, wont sell due to previous fire hazard. People smoke cigarettes and throw on floor can see manifold soaked with gas and see it leaking if i open hood same codes every single year, . Have spent more on fixing car then price of car.

Takata recall i own a 2002 chrysler voyager minivan. At about 85,000 miles i noticed the airbag light on the dashboard was coming on sporadically. Eventually it started remaining on all the time from the moment i started the ignition. I took it to a local chrysler dealer to have it inspected. They told me there was a problem with the clock spring and that it needed to be replaced and would cost me about $350. Earlier reproductions of this model have been recalled for problems with clock springs but mine is not because it was manufactured two years too late.
