• Recall 88276 [USA]: In the presence of an ignition source, a fuel leak could result in a fire.
  Certain airtex fuel pump module assemblies, p/n e7081h, sold for use as replacement equipment for the vehicles listed above. The wall of the flared fitting of the fuel pump is not thick enough to prevent the mating threaded fittings from bottoming out before an adequate seal is achieved. This condition may result in leakage of fuel at the connection of the vehicle fuel line and the fuel pump module assembly.

• Recall 3410 [USA]: This condition could cause the lower lateral arm ball joint to separate, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. this campaign supercedes mmc's previous safety recall campaign, see 99v-066.
  Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. If the rubber boots on the lower lateral arm ball joints of the front suspension were damaged during assembly, dirt and water can intrude. Also, mmc has added the potential of leaking moisture, which can cause the ball stud to corrode.
  dealers will inspect the lower lateral arm ball joint for wear. Ball joints that exhibit wear beyond the established tolerance will be replaced with newly designed lateral arm ball joints. Ball joints that are within the established tolerance will be cleaned and a special sealant will be applied to prevent intrusion of moisture.

  Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. Lockup of the transfer case can occur due to insufficient lubrication.
  dealers will inspect the vehicles for adequacy of the transfer case oil volume, transfer case oil leakage, and operational degradation of the transfer case mechanism. If oil volume is insufficient, the appropriate amount of oil will be added. If there is transfer case oil leakage, affected components will be replaced. If the transfer case shows operational degradation, the transfer case will be replaced.

• Recall 18664 [USA]: Loss of braking can result if the abs hydraulic unit falls. this can result in a vehicle accident.
  The headlamp support panel can develop a fatigue crack where the anti-lock brake system (abs) hydraulic unit is attached, allowing the hydraulic unit to fall down.
  dealers will connect the abs hydraulic unit attachment point at a rigid portion of the headlamp support panel with a bracket and reinforce the headlamp support panel by adding a back plate.

  On certain vehicles, the lower lateral arm ball joint can separate due to loss of lubrication. There is a potential for moisture to leak past the protective boot which can cause the ball stud to corrode. This corrosion, acting much like contamination, can also lead to premature wear and separation of the ball joint. This could result in loss of vehicle control and a possible crash. Correction: lower lateral arm ball joints will be inspected for wear and replaced as necessary with newly designed lower lateral arm ball joints. Ball joints that are within the established tolerance will be cleaned and a special sealant will be applied to prevent the intrusion of moisture.

  The headlamp support panel may experience fatigue cracking at the attachment point for the abs hydraulic unit. Prolonged operation with inadequate support of the hydraulic unit could eventually result in brake tube failure, fluid leakage and partial loss of brake system function. Correction: a reinforcing plate will be added to the headlamp support panel. In addition, a bracket will be added to the hydraulic unit to provide a more rigid attachment.

I have a 95 eagle talon tsi and i have a transfer case noise and leaky transfer case it is part of the transfer case recall 780. Chrysler says the recall is one time only everything i have read says safety recalls are for the life of the vehicle. I contacted a dealership and they said there was no such recall. I am afraid it is going to lock up after reading about it online

1995 eagle talon tsi automatic transmission went out. Here's how... I wasn't even moving and went into the car wash and nothing happened car didn't even move. It will start in park and neutral. But will not go in gear. No sound was made i was going in the car wash and went to push on the gas and car did not go anywhere. So the employee's there had to push it through the car wash. Will not shift at all. Fluid level is good and clean has been served before but why did it go out. I've check everything. By the way im certified in automotives both gas and diesel. So i know what im talking about. So the recall should cover it.... It better. It would cost me over $1800.00 to fix it. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 1995 eagle talon. The contact was driving approximately 25 mph when front driver side ball joint fractured and caused the wheel to separate from the vehicle. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic where the contact was advised that the driver side axle and ball joints would need replacing. The axle and ball joints were replaced. Driving home from work one day when i made a left turn my rpm's went down from about 3000 to 1400 and i had problems engaging the clutch. When i got home, i went online and started my research on my vehicle. I found out that i could possibly be the crank pulley. My vehicle is 15 years old and i know that, but when i research the recalls on it, there were 14 safety recalls. While i don't want the car to lock up on me driving at highway speeds i have to fix that but in this day and age, how am i suppose to pay for all the defects? I certainly can't afford all the repairs and living in a rural area where i have no co-workers living by me how do i do the repairs and stay without a car and keep my job. I did what i thought almost everyone does and checked a carfax report but that doesn't shoe the recalls. I wish i was aware of that but now i feel like i'm driving a timebomb waiting for something to happen. Do any dealerships see this and fix them after 10 + years just for someone's safety? I'm a single dad and can't afford to lose my job or fix the car but people should be more aware of these things instead of just seeing carfax commercials. Please advise. Tl*the contact owns a 1995 eagle talon. While driving 10 mph, the front driver side of the vehicle dropped to the ground. The mechanic stated that the driver side control arm and ball joint failed. The mechanic made the replacement. Approximately three months later, the contact heard a screeching noise coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle. The mechanic stated that the front passenger side control arm and ball joint should be replaced. As of november 13, 2007, the mechanic had not repaired the vehicle. There is a recall for the suspension: front: control arm: lower ball joint (nhtsa campaign id number 00v421002); however, the dealer stated that the recall work had already been performed. The failure mileage was 85,000 and current mileage was 95,895.

My transfer case on my 95 eagle talon tsi awd locked up on me back in july of 05, there was a safety recall on it and it was replaced for free. In feb 06 the transfer case locked up again not even 7 months after having the new one put on. Chrysler don't know if there going to replace it again free of charge because they said they already did it once. Basically when a car gets recalled it means there supposed to fix the part that's defective and i shouldn't have to worry about it again. They replaced a bad, leaky transfer case with a bad leaky transfer case and there saying that its fixed. Two wrongs don't make a right. Why should i pay 2700.00 dollars for a new transfer case that's gonna lock up on me again? Replacing a dangerous part with the same identical dangerous part is not recalling a vehicle. I tried talking to chrysler and they were not polite and just rude about my concern. *nm

I own a 95 eagle talon and brought it to pro jeep eagle in early summer. The staff replaced the drivers side but stated the passenger side was not in need for replacement. I disagreed. This morning as i pulled out of my driveway and into the street, before getting 100 feet my front end fell to the ground. The ball joint broke. I called the dealership and they said they were not responsible, again i disagreed. This could have been a wrongful death. While driving vehicle was smoking. Consumer pulled over and noticed that the back of the vehicle was on fire. A few minutes later the vehicle blew up. *ts the vehicle was still under warranty but the warranty company claimed they were not liable. The consumer did some research and found that the vehicle had fuel system problem. The dealer was contacted and they stated that the recall had been done on 8/98 but they refused to give the consumer any documentation. *nm

My wheels locked up while i was doing about 60 mph. It caused me to swerve into the other lane. Thank god there was not any traffic coming or someone could of been hurt. The mechanic said its the transfer case, which is already got a recall but there is a thing that all talons, eclipses, and lasers get from their years of 90-98, have a thing called crankwalk which can cause accidents also but chrysler or mitsubishi wont take responsibility for.*jb
