Also the consumer is urging ford to resume the appropriate engineering process by examining these test results, making needed modifications to the product and providing the officers with a product which will safely and effectively shield the rear of the fuel tank. *cb *jb

Crown victoria's were still bursting into flames with the shielding. An officer in missouri was the 16th to die and the 5th to die in the one year. Three in the month of may alone and the officers didn't survive. One trooper was rear ended on the interstate by a pickup which caused the vehicle to burst into flames trapping the trooper. The trooper burned to death. Even with the shielding, three cars had burst into flames. (paul ambrose on behalf of deceased brother, trooper robert ambrose aslo was involved in an accident and his vehicle did not have the protective shielding.) *ph *jb
