Consumer writes in regards to ford corrective action claim 09s09 *tgw the consumer stated in november 2009, ford installed a device in his vehicle; a jumper harness of questionable durability that has failed on his vehicle within 5,000 miles and less than two years after its installation. Ford has no interest in investigating this potential failure. Ford has positioned itself to recoup some of its original cost in the recall, by forcing their customers at their own expense to replace the jumper harness with no guarantee that it will last at least as long as the original three year, 36,000 mile warranty on the vehicle. The consumer wanted ford to verify that the jumper harness with a non-replaceable fuse either did or did not cause the cruise control system to malfunction after the harness was installed. Ford denied the consumers request. *jb
