Hydraulic brakes, 6.8 l v-10 engine. Service brake pedal spongy, travels excessively on initial application but can be 'pumped up' to respond better. Had vehicle towed to dealership. Dealer says system works as designed and said 'they compared it with other trucks on lot.' picked vehicle up from dealer, was unable to speak with technician who performed diagnosis. Feels as if brake caliper(s) might be hanging up and are having to pump up to get pads to contact rotor(s). Reminiscent of rear brake shoe / drum excessive clearance on older vehicle with frozen self adjusters. This vehicle has four wheel disc brakes. 2,354 miles.
