• Recall 38669 [USA]: A fuel leak can occur at the valve, possibly resulting in a fire.
  Certain r&b, inc. Central multiport fuel injection (cmfi) fuel return lines, models help 55163, napa balkamp 700-3270, and the connection 2560001, sold for use as replacement equipment for the vehicles listed above. The fuel return line has a mechanical bleed valve which was not installed at the proper torque.
  r&b, inc. Will notify owners and at the customers request, either replace the fuel line or offer a full refund. The recall began on may 4, 2006. Owners may contact r&b, inc. At 215-712-5330.

• Recall 8679 [USA]: These vehicles can experience extended stopping distances during abs stops on certain multiple surfaces, increasing the risk of a crash.
  This is not a safety recall in accordance with the safety act. However, it is deemed a safety improvement campaign by the agency. Vehicle description: certain light duty pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles, or minivans equipped with 3-sensor abs (antilock braking system) ebc4 units.
  dealers will modify the computer program which operates the abs unit on some vehicles, or replace the computer on others to improve the performance of the abs on these surfaces.

  Vehicle description: certain 4-wheel drive pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles equipped with abs (antilock braking system) manufactured from september 1989 through august 1996. Under certain driving conditions the switch which signals the abs system whether the vehicle is in 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive can malfunction causing increased stopping distances during abs stops while in the two-wheel drive mode.

• Recall 19917 [USA]: If this were to occur while the trailer was being pulled, the hitch and trailer can separate from the vehicle.
  The trailer hitch attaching bolts were not tightened to the specified torque. This can lead to loosening and subsequent breakage of the fasteners.

  Certain four wheel drive vehicles may experience increased stopping distances during abs stops while in the two-wheel drive mode. A switch can erroneously signal the abs system that the vehicle is in four-wheel drive when the vehicle is actually in two wheel drive. Correction: dealers will replace the switch on affected vehicles.

  On certain vehicles, the driver's and/or passenger's front outboard seat-belt webbing could separate during a frontal impact having at least the same dynamics as a 48 kph frontal barrier collision. If a separation occurred and there were secondary crash events or rollover, there would be no restraint of the occupant and increased injuries could occur. Correction: a protector cover will be installed over the recliner mechanism.

I was in a accident with my 1994 gmc jimmy . It just stopped in the middle of the interstate and i am here to say that i was scared to death and i am not sure what happened but i was in the hospital for four days. So can you please advise me on what i can do about it? Accident date is march 13,2016. Thanks for your help.

Digital dash went out cant see gauges neither speed. *tr

94 s15 jimmy is not switching out of 3rd gear only gets up to 40-45 mph. I've tried manural gear switching no luck. Was told it could be gear oil low. Im gonna change tranny filter and fluids and hopfully some luck . If any info on this plz reply. Just bought truck and was told it just stopped changing gears. Drove it hom drives fine but no luck with it changing gears. *tr

Dt: the consumer stated the abs didn't activate when it was suppose to. The dealer could not find a p problem. *jb during quick stops the brakes would fail and the abs light would illuminate intermittently. *nm

I was braking at a stop light and the car in front of me hit there brakes. I stepped on my brakes harder and the abs kicked in for a short time. Then the brakes failed and i was not able to stop. Hitting the car in front of me. There was no damage to my car or the car i hit. I have not been able to make the truck do this again.

Egr valve continually fails (opens) , the engine looses vacume and brakes fail to function. Since 1999 the egr has been replaced seven (7) times and is currently in a failure mode. In spite of the fact that there have been service bullitens issued with regard to this problem gmc has refused to address the problem. To date over two thousand dollars has been spent replacing egr valves. When driving i am in constant fear of the egr valve failing and coversly, the brakes failing. *ak

I recently purchased a vehicle from rpm and a year later my motor had blown they charged me $1,100.00 for a new one. It's been 4 months and 3 motors later my truck still don't run the way it should. Everytime i try to take it in they give me some excuse why they can't look at it. Now that my muffler fell off i can't take my truck back in. Yet in the meantime i have 30 days for my warrenty to expire on this motor. I can't afford another muffler. In the meantime i'v had to take beck 2 of there loaner cars cause they were broke. I've had to keep making payments for a truck that i could't drive. I didn't pay for the motor in the truck til i got it back they put that to a credit company. I still paid my monthly truck payments of $270.00 in the meantime. I feel this isn't fair. They should of looked at my truck when i tried to take it back for 3 times now instead of shoving me out the door. *ak

1994/gmc/jimmy,s1500,4.3 /6/ my front drver seat rocks when i have to brake suddenly. When it rains brakes lock up, slides before completely stops, drivers side window doesn't work,locks works on ocassions,it rattles when parking or parked.When shutting off shakes completely then shuts off . An awful smell from gas fumes i have to drive with the other three windows down just to have fresh air.,black smoke,do not start upon first try,back tail gate rattles.Fan for a/c or heat don't work thru vents.Slows down to 15mph sometimes it it will speed up un nessacarily, when on road in city limits slows down and shuts off on high ways. But most of all the brakes scares me i never know when it will work or when it won't ,so i try not to travel with my children or when it is raining .My vehichile was listed as reliable and low gas milage i have to put$10.00 in every day and not travel unessacarily. I had not had this truck long and it is a liability health wise and finacially. If some one can help or have information that may be usefull ,i am interestedwhat can i do or should do.*ak

When applying the anti lock brakes they will lock up, causing the vehicle to have extended stopping distance. Dealer notified. *ak the consumer stated a recall repair regarding the abs was performed in 2000. Gm evaluated the vehicle and said the crash was due to poor brakes. *jb *nm
